Ensemble Placement Auditions (Spring 08' auditions are now closed. Fall Audition Information available Summer 08'.)
Ensemble Placement auditions are conducted separately from the admission and scholarship auditions listed above. Membership in The MTSU Wind Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Symphonic Band, and Orchestra, is determined via auditions, which are open to all qualified students at the University. These auditions take place the first week of classes during the fall semester and again late in the Spring Semester. Auditions are heard by the ensemble conductors and the appropriate applied music Professor.

Each audition is five minutes in length. Music for each instrument is available to download 2 weeks prior to each audition. Click your instrument below for required music.

Students must sign up for an audition time by placing their name on a time schedule which is posted outside of WMB 155 on August 15th of each year. For the spring term, auditions are held during the first week of December for vacancies in the ensemble.
